Canciones del alma

Program with poetry of San Juan de la Cruz, which content is the same as in the disc-book Canciones del alma. Amancio Prada, voice and guitar, sings with the company of two cellos and, eventually, a chorus.

The album, released in 2002, celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first version of Cántico Espiritual and its opening night on the San Juan de los Caballeros Church, in Segovia (1977). The cd includes a new version of the Cántico Espiritual in which the chorus of Segovia collaborates. It includes, also, 5 new poems of San Juan, with music composed by Amancio: La Noche, La Fuente, La Llama , Vivo sin vivir en mi y Del Verbo divino

Amancio Prada and the poet Juan Carlos Mestre perform pieces of their own works, mixing song and poems. Sacha Crisan plays the cello.

Trovadores y juglares

Amancio Prada, who mixes music and poetry in his compositions, offers in Trovadores y Juglares traditional medieval songs of love and friendship, romance and popular songs. Poems with music from the first bards of Portugal and Galicia (Bernal de Bonaval, Mendiño, Don Denis, Xoan Zorro, Sancho I de Portugal....) from Juan del Enzina, Teresa de Jesús and from popular anonimous authors.
